The department of Digital Arts of the Fine Arts School of Paris visits the Kimonos Art Center on the occasion of the 1st Paphos International Film Festival. Six students accompanied by the professor Vincent Rioux (Head of department) and Juliette Marchand (Professor of Animation and Animator) will present their work!
ACTION AND INTERACTION
(The history of animated sequences combined with live action film)

Charalambos Margaritis (Animator/Print-maker) will present the various forms the interaction between film and animated film took through the history of cinema from Stuart Blackton to Roger Rabbit. It’s a journey to the amazing world of animated film, intruding reality.
'AZOTE BLUES'
Audio Visual Performance by Vincent Rioux

'Azote Blues' is a short Audio-Visual presentation/performance focused on the modern history of nitrogen.This element has played a tremendous role across the 20th century, most notably during and after the 1st World War. It still constitutes a steady driving force of human population growth.
Vincent Rioux studied electromagnetism and went on with musical acoustics in France and Sweden.
He likes to play live with computers (among other musical instruments).
He is currently heading the digital media department of the Paris School of Fine Arts.
FINANCING AND PRODUCTION CAPABILITIES FOR LOW-BUDGET FILMS

Cypriot producer/director and distributor Stavros Papageorgiou, director of TETRAKTYS FILMS will share with the audience the many years of experience in film and television and offer valuable advice on how can a Film-Maker create a short film without having big funding.
As part of the presentation the short film SOUL ADVENTURE will be shown (10 minutes) that Stavros has directed and which was entirely shot in Paphos, in the summer of 2013.
