What are the deadlines?
The deadline for submitting short films is : March 21, 2016. There is also a late deadline which is April 21, but the sooner you send us your film, the better.
Can I submit more than one film?
Yes, you can submit more than one film but you have to process a registration for each single film.
May I apply to more than one section?
Yes, you can submit to several sections but you have to carefully check with the respective guidelines if your film is eligible.
Do you accept re-submissions?
No, PIFF does not accept films that have been submitted and viewed for previous editions.
Do you accept rough cuts / work in progress?
The submitted version should be at least picture locked. Rough cuts are accepted only in exceptional cases. In case of doubt, please get in touch with the section(s) you are submitting the film to.
Do you need a subtitled version for the selection screenings?
Yes, PIFF requests an English subtitled version for the selection screening (except the film’s original version is English.
What do you intend by premiere status?
World Premiere: The film has never been shown anywhere publicly.
International Premiere: The film has been released theatrically or presented in a national festival in its
country of origin, but nowhere else.
European Premiere:The film has been shown or theatrically released outside of Europe, but never been presented in a European country.
Cyprus Premiere: The film has never been shown in Cyprus.
No Premiere: The film has been presented/theatrically released internationally including Cyprus.
How much is the submission fee?
The Ealrybird submission for all films is free. Later submissions have small fees.
